What Is Melbourne Money?

To bring people back into the city and provide support for our hospitality sector, The City of Melbourne is offering a 20% rebate when you spend at Melbourne’s restaurants, cafe and bars. You can find out more about the initiative here.

This means when you spend a minimum of $50 and up to $500 in a single transaction in-venue on food and drink, you can claim a 20% of it back via The City of Melbourne!

Purchases eligible for rebate include food and drink bought in-venue only (excludes activity purchases).

Can I Book Online

No, this is a walk-in offer only. If you book online, you cannot claim your online receipt. You are eligible to claim food and drink purchased during your visit (between $50 and $500 in one transaction).

What Do I Need To Claim My Rebate?

If you purchase food and drink in venue, you’ll need to obtain an itemised receipt from your purchase. This will include our business name and ABN, receipt number, receipt total value (inc GST), purchase date and time. Please note; EFTPOS receipts are NOT eligible.

What is an eligible purchase?

Food and drink only, with food. Eligible purchases do NOT include activities such as game passes etc.

When Will Melbourne Money Expire?

Rebates are available on a first-in-best-served basis until available funds are exhausted, with the program launching Friday 11 June.

How Much Can I Claim?

Guests can claim a 20% rebate on eligible spend, with a maximum rebate of $100.

How do I claim my rebate?

Guests must visit and provide their name, email address, mobile phone number and bank account details. You will also be required to upload a photo or scan a copy of their itemised receipt and agree to the terms and conditions of the program.

What Can I Claim?

Eligible purchases include the purchase of drink AND food, you must purchase food to be eligible for this rebate.

When Will I Get My Rebate?

Once you've made a claim, the rebate will be processed to your bank account within approximately 5 days.
